Our standards in one paragraph
Every page answers one question fully, uses facts from official sources, shows its maths, lists its sources and carries the date its facts were last checked. We never invent numbers, quotes, tests or people. If we cannot confirm something, we leave it out.
How we research
- Laws and rules: legislation, regulators (such as ACMA and state gambling regulators) and government departments.
- Racing: the racing clubs and the TAB's published rules.
- Casinos and bookmakers: the operator's own terms, help pages and footer, plus official registers and regulator notices.
- Tax: the ATO.
We do not copy or rewrite other gambling sites, and we do not name competitor review sites.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools to help with research, drafting and checking calculations. Every page is reviewed and approved by our editor, Jack White, before it is published, every fact is checked against the sources listed on the page, and calculators are tested against worked examples.
Commercial deals and independence
PokiePundit earns commission from some operators when readers join through our links. Commercial partners never see or approve our content before it is published, never change a score and never decide what we say about the law or the risks. Partner blocks are always labelled. Dates on every page
"Published" is the date a page first went live. "Facts checked" is the date we last checked its facts against the sources. When a law, rule or term changes, we update the page and the date.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it as soon as we can confirm the correct fact, update the "facts checked" date and, for any change that matters to a reader's decision, add a short correction note to the page. Report an error through the contact page.
Responsible gambling
Every page shows the 18+ notice and links to gambling help. We never promise wins, never target people who have self-excluded and never publish pages designed to get around an exclusion.
