BetRight review: two payout runs a day, best-price promises and a costly unbet deposit fee

Verdict

Bet Right scores 6.6 out of 10. On racing it makes bold promises, and its payout timetable is refreshingly exact: two runs a day, every day. The score is held back by its rule book, which allows the heaviest fees we found for two common situations: changing your mind about a deposit, and leaving an account idle. This is a desk review of Bet Right's help centre and rule books, its App Store listing, the Northern Territory register and ACMA, read on 8 October 2026. The betright.com.au site itself refused our connection.

Who runs Bet Right

Rule Book 1 says Bet Right is the business name of IRPSX Pty Ltd (ACN 087 708 898), a wholly owned subsidiary of BetTube Corporation Pty Limited, part of the BetTube Group, and is licensed as a sports bookmaker by the Northern Territory Wagering Commission. The register lists IRPSX Pty Ltd with two trading names, BetRight and InfoMarkets. The principal place of business is Darwin, where its market-making team sits because telephone bets must be struck in the Territory.

BetRight withdrawal time

Bet Right does not pay continuously. Its finance team runs withdrawals twice a day, at 10am and 4pm Sydney/Melbourne time, seven days a week, and sends them over the New Payments Platform, so the money lands in real time if your bank is one of the 100-plus institutions on it. If your bank is not, a standard EFT takes 2 to 5 business days.

Since 1 April 2026 there is an extra step for a withdrawal account you have not verified: Bet Right runs a Confirmation of Payee check through the NPP. If the name on the bank account does not match your betting account, the withdrawal is denied and the money stays put. That protects you against misdirected payments, but get the account name exactly right.

The return-to-source fee, worked out

Rule 4.2(b) lets Bet Right charge a "return to source fee" when you withdraw deposited money you have not bet: an administrative fee of $16.40, plus a transaction fee of 1.30% of the unbet amount, plus GST. Assuming GST at 10% on the whole fee:

Formula: fee = ($16.40 + 0.013 x amount) x 1.1. The help centre says turning a deposit over first avoids the fee, and the rule book lets Bet Right waive it in some cases. The cheapest approach is to deposit only what you mean to bet.

Inactive accounts

Under Rule 3.5 an account with no transaction for 12 months is inactive, and after 18 months without a deposit or a bet Bet Right may deduct an account maintenance fee of $13.20 a month, after at least 30 days' written notice. It stops once you bet or withdraw, and is not charged on a $0 balance. Over a year that is $158.40.

Deposits

Bet Right takes PayID, Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit cards and EFT. Apple Pay and Google Pay have a $10 minimum, and Bet Right charges no debit card fee, though your bank may. Your first PayID or EFT deposit may be held by your bank for up to 24 hours. No credit cards: the national ban on credit and crypto for wagering began on 11 June 2024.

RPX, RD+ and the racing promises

Bet Right's App Store listing (rated 4.7 from about 2,200 ratings on 8 October 2026) makes three racing guarantees:

• RPX: the best price of four bookmakers, Bet Right, Sportsbet, TAB and Ladbrokes, on all Australian thoroughbred, greyhound and harness bets.
• RD+: the best of three Australian totes or Bet Right's starting fixed price, plus 3% more on winnings.
• BTE: the best dividend on quinellas, exactas, trifectas, first fours and quaddies at key metro and selected races.

These are the operator's claims and we have not tested them. If they hold, RD+ matters: a $10 winner at a $5.00 dividend returns $50, and 3% extra is $1.20 if it is paid on the $40 profit, or $1.50 if on the full return. The listing does not say which. Codes and casino searches

"BetRight referral code" and "bonus code" are common searches. Licensed Australian bookmakers cannot offer incentives to open an account or refer someone; our betting sign up bonus guide covers the rule. Responsible gambling

Deposit limits run over 1, 7, 14 or 30 days on a rolling basis. Cutting a limit applies immediately; raising, removing or shortening it waits 7 days. Take a Break locks you out for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. The only ACMA matter we found was self-reported: 11 in-play bets on 21 November 2021 and one on 21 December 2021, which ACMA found to be a breach.
